Actually, that’s one of the reasons I like Sleepy’s comics and characters… Nobody wins every time, but (with the exception of poor Country Girl) nobody loses every time either. Everyone has their moments of triumph and tragedy.
Trixie has the best ratio here. She USUALLY wins, but she loses often enough that you can’t ever be sure if she’s going to end this particular story as a winner or a loser.
