You can draw things in cartoons that you cannot for obvious reasons do in real life like non consensual drug use., kidnap more drug use asphyxia Etc. There's no one else like sleepy that really leaned into it that was such a great artist. There really isn't even bad artists doing this kind of work it's like just doesn't exist
Totally agree.. and like, for some odd reason I sorta trust the man behind the scenes and the fan base. Like I feel it would be really easy to make this all some dodgy fantasy kinda thing, but like all of this stuff is ONLY enjoyable to me in comic form (in terms of the non-consent stuff) and I always feel like we’re (mostly) all on the same page about that. It’s a rare fandom and artist for sure
It’s one of the main reasons I love his stuff, the situations have a dark, taboo allure to them that so many other artists are too afraid to touch on. I really loved where Break A Thief was going and how hard it was going too, its just something you never get to see much from anywhere else.
