Tournaments arcs are of the best tools in and outside of shonen. It allows the writer to create conflict between characters that otherwise wouldn’t have it, allow ideologies to clash with one another, and let’s the viewer better understand the gap in power between different characters. It shows us where they stand and where we’re aiming to go. What do you think is the best tournament arc besides the Dark Tournament in YYH?
